Okay, Day 6 is coming to a close. We spent the morning hanging snowflakes in the Youth Center, while Bryan and Lori put finishing touches on the awesome mural. You guys should see how talented they are!!! Kayla was commenting on how she was getting tired of threading string to hang the snowflakes, and I told her she could tell Patrick that she "threaded snowflakes to the Glory of God"....how appropriate, huh, Mike, seeing the scripture you left for us! Of course, she said she couldn't talk to Patrick, it was like talking to Jesus! ha ha! Don't tell him that, he'll get a big head! We had lunch at Joy Restaurant again, and Kayla and Abigail got to have another helping of sashimi and fried fish. After lunch, Caleb came back to Nob and Sylvia's for a nap (he stayed up really late with his new friends and stayed the night at Nob and Sylvia's), Bryan went with Nob and Roland to pick up TJ at the airport (yes, he did arrive safe and sound!), and the girls all went SHOPPING!!!! Woo hoo! We had so much fun hunting at all the little stores for Pohnpei skirts, Pohnpei pepper and "Zories" (Pohnpei flip-flops). I think my girls and I wore Lori and Abigail out, but we sure had a good time. Then Kayla and Kira went to the House of Beauty for, you guessed it, a Foot Spa. Kira chickened out, but Kayla is sporting a nice, new french manicure on her toes! Then we went to dinner at Cliff Rainbow Restaurant, just a hop, skip and a jump from Nob and Sylvia's, and most of us had.....you guessed it! Sashimi and fried fish! John, TJ took your advice to heart and tried it too! Now all the kids are at the movies watching "Pirates of the Caribbean", while Lori and I are filling you all in on our day. Note: Be sure and ask Kira to tell you the "Ant Story"! ha ha.
BTW, we have a new little friend that the girls would love to bring home....a resident little yellow gecko that stays in our house. We see him running around everywhere. It's amazing what you can tolerate when the heat has melted your brain! ha ha! Guess that's all for now. Continue to keep us in your prayers, especially Caleb, who seems to get a new scrape or cut every day, and who eats more than anyone I've ever seen! He never gets full! :-) We love and miss you all, and will see you soon! Michelle
